About
I’ve been a licensed clinical social worker for over 25 years and have worked with a wide variety people in diverse settings including state and federal prisons, a military medical/mental health clinic, a community health center for uninsured individuals, federal humanitarian/disaster responses, and most recently a women’s addiction and trauma recovery program. I provide therapy to adults to address mental health needs including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, maintaining sobriety, marriage challenges, and spiritually related life challenges.
Additionally, I have experience addressing the mental health needs of active-duty service members, veterans, and first-responder personnel. I utilize cognitive-behavioral type therapies including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Also, within therapy sessions, I can help clients learn practical skills that can be used in day-to-day life to help address challenging thoughts, emotions, and situations. I strive to bring compassion, non-judgment, and a practical approach to all my clients.
